Office Assistants
The Village of Whitehouse employees 1 full-time and 2 part-time Office
Assistants, who share the duties of answering phones, assisting visitors at
Village Hall and the Fire Station, filing, typing, and other duties as assigned.
Jill Gundy
joined the Village team in April 2008 as the full-time Office Assistant. Jill received her BA in Communications from the University
of Toledo. She and her husband, Simon, live in Swanton with their three
children, Austin, Samantha, and Zachary. When not working, Jill enjoys spending time
at sporting events, boy scouts, gymnastics and swimming lessons with her children,
reading and working in her flower beds.
Cindy Bergfeld, the part-time Police Office Assistant, has been employed by the Village since 1996. Cindy and her husband, Dan, live in Waterville Their two children both graduated from AWHS, Kelsey, who is attending The Ohio State University, and Cory, who is interning at Lourdes College in Toledo as a Sports Information Specialist. Cindy enjoys spending time with her family.
Rita Yunker,
the part-time Fire Office Assistant, has been with the Village of Whitehouse since
January 2005. Rita received her BS
in elementary education from Northern Illinois University and taught for a
couple of years before having children of her own. She then took on being
the Office Manager for her husband's internet business in Illinois for seven
years. After moving to Ohio she decided to utilize her office experience
for the Village of Whitehouse. Over the past few years Rita and her
husband, Larry, have become volunteer firefighters and EMT-Bs. Their
children, Larry and Johnathan, attend Fallen Timbers Middle School. When
not working, Rita enjoys spending time with her family at Scouting events and
traveling.
