Grass and Noxious Weeds

Legal Notice

In accordance with Chapter 521.11 of the Whitehouse Municipal Code, any person owning or having charge of land within the Village of Whitehouse, including the abutting public road right of way thereof, shall keep the grass cut to a height not in excess of six (6) inches. They shall keep same free and clear from all noxious weeds and rank vegetation on such lots owned or controlled by said owner to prevent such rank growth and/or the maturing or spreading of seeds or pollen there from.

If compliance is not made with this Notice and the provisions of Chapter 521.11 of the Whitehouse Municipal Code within five (5) days after the date of a written Notice, then such grass, weeds and other vegetation will be cut by the Village of Whitehouse, and the cost and expense thereof will be invoiced to the owners per Chapter 1002.06 and 1002.07 of the Whitehouse Municipal Code. Failure to pay within 60 days will result in an assessment of debt and expenses to the County Auditor as a lien against the property.
