The Village of Whitehouse is part of the Anthony Wayne Local School District. Anthony Wayne Schools scored a 29/30 on the 2006/07 Local Report Card and earned an "Excellent" state rating. The school district met 29 out of the 30 state of Ohio's performance indicators scoring an amazing 96.7%. This is Anthony Wayne's fifth consecutive "Excellent" rating and sixth overall "Excellent" rating.

The Anthony Wayne Local Schools evolved from the vision of the citizens and school boards of Monclova, Waterville, and Whitehouse in the early 1950's. Students attended classes in their respective home communities and no central educational facility existed. Today, the Anthony Wayne school community includes six education buildings, over 4,100 students and hundreds of teaching, administrative, and support staff, within 77 square miles. The district serves the villages of Whitehouse and Waterville, Monclova Township, and parts of Swanton, Middleton, and Providence Townships.
